2010 Reader Survey

Post Author: Bill Pratt

We want to make the blog more relevant to your needs and interests.  To do that, we need to know more about you.   As a result, we have created the 2010 Reader Survey.

Would you please take a few minutes to fill out the survey?  By doing so, you will ultimately be helping yourself because you will be helping us make our posts more interesting and relevant to you.

The survey is easy to fill out and it only consists of 10 questions.   Thanks in advance for your participation!

Best of the GeoChristian

Post Author: Bill Pratt

One of the first bloggers that ever reached out to me when we started Tough Questions Answered in November of 2008 was Kevin Nelstead, who authors the blog called  The GeoChristian.  I noticed recently that Kevin was building a “best of” page and I want to encourage our readers to see what’s on there.  Kevin, as a geologist, is especially knowledgeable about the interaction between science and Christianity.

Kevin, thanks again for your encouragement!

Top Ten Posts of 2009 and Subscribe by Email

Post Author: Bill Pratt

As 2009 rolls to a close, I thought it would be interesting to look back at the top ten posts of the year, in terms of number of page views.  Some of you who have joined our blog throughout the year may have missed these posts, so for the next couple of weeks, look out for these “greatest hits” as we count down from number 10 to number 1.

Also, please note that the blog can now be subscribed to by email.  Just click on the “Sign me up!” button on the left side of the blog web page.  This is an easy way to keep track of each post as it’s published.  We generally post about 3-4 times per week, so don’t worry about your email box becoming cluttered from our site.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Post Author: Bill Pratt

Darrell and I wish all of our blog readers a joyous Thanksgiving filled with great fellowship and food!  We are thankful for our loyal readers who continue to support the blog by telling others about it and spreading the word.  We would also like to give a special thanks to the John Ankerberg Show for giving us a forum through their wonderful ministry.  We are truly blessed!

Last, but definitely not least, we wish to thank God for everything he has given us, which is everything that we have.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

10,000 Hits and Growing!

We just passed a major milestone in our short blogging history: 10,000 hits!

Our readership has steadily grown since we started this blog four months ago, and for that we thank God.  I know that many of you come back to the blog regularly – some daily, some weekly.  Darrell and I have been truly awestruck by the wonderful response we’ve received from all of you.

We will continue to write blog posts that we wish others had written when we were searching for answers in our lives.  We will continue to keep the posts short, and to the point.  Our goal is to pass on important information in as few words as possible.

There are many other blogs and websites out there that deal with Christian topics, but we believe none of them focus like a laser beam on giving you answers to tough questions about the Christian faith in a compact and concise form so that you learn what you need to know quickly, without having to read lengthy posts or articles.  There is, of course, a need for lengthy, detailed treatments of the issues we cover, but that is not what we do.  We will leave that to others, many who do it extremely well.

What can you do for the blog?  If you enjoy the blog, please keep coming back and commenting on blog posts.  We love feedback, even from those who disagree (those who disagree really keep us on our toes!).  Second, if you enjoy the blog, please tell people you know about the blog.  Spread the word.

If you are interested in some other stats for the blog, here are a few:

Total number of posts: 113

Total number of comments: 642

Average daily hits:  37 (in Dec 2008), 75 (in Jan 2009), 96 (in Feb 2009), 150 (in Mar 2009)

God bless all of you and thanks again for your support!

What Happened to the Blog Theme?

After being badgered by my wife and some blog readers, I finally decided on a new theme for the blog.  I wanted to stick with a 2-column theme, because I don’t like the look of blogs that are cluttered with a lot of stuff.  Other people like a lot of stuff on their blog site, but I don’t!  🙂

Anyway, I also wanted a theme with a larger font size for our readers who don’t want to squint at the screen (like me).  Let me know what you think of the new theme.  If you hate or like it, I want to know.  I can always change it to something else….I already miss the Christmas theme 🙁

Great News for the Tough Questions Answered Blog

This week, we are able to announce an awesome new partnership with one of the premiere apologetics ministries in the world:  The Ankerberg Theological Research Institute.  John Ankerberg and his staff have been producing television shows, writing books, and speaking around the world for almost 30 years on Christian apologetics.  My wife and I have had the pleasure of knowing the Ankerberg’s and consider it a blessing.

Their website will now feature a link to our blog and will publish our blog posts as articles from time to time.  We are very grateful to ATRI for this opportunity and we want to encourage all of our readers to visit their website, as it is rich in apologetic resources.  I look forward to working with their ministry as we both seek to knock down intellectual barriers to the Christian faith!

Blog Break

To our readers,

I will be unable to blog for about a week, but I will be back to it after that.  We really appreciate your faithful reading of the blog, and we know how irritating it is for a blog to go silent for long periods of time.  That is not the case here!  Darrell will continue in my absence and I look forward to getting back to the blog in a week or so.

Thanks again for your support!!
